THE NEW FSL SENSOR COVERS IMPROVES A NEW TECHNOLOGY
Update March 9, 2019 You've probably heard about the new technology called the FreeStyle Libre system
from Abbot. It is a way to check your blood sugar levels without a finger stick or drawing blood. The FreeStyle Libre system
according to Abbot is "a continuous glucose monitoring system" that uses a sensor worn on the arm. The sensor is
about as thick as two quarters stacked on each other.
Wearing the sensor makes it easy to "scan"
the device and read your current blood sugar level. Unfortunately, some users of the system have found that the sensor can
fall off or be knocked off the skin when wearing clothes or through normal arm motion. One of the diabetes patients who had
difficulty with the FreeStyle Libre sensor falling off is Chris Moxon, so he created a simple way to keep the FreeStyle Libre
sensor in place. Below is our half-hour special TV report about the sensor cover. Call 562-384-4222 to speak
